Quick Thoughts
8x Reward Points can be redeemed to save up to 20% on gas, so that can be a great deal on some of these Happy brands given the retailers involved. However, those 20% savings assume that you can a) max out the 25 gallon limit and b) you actually need to fill your tank which a lot of us aren’t needing to do right now, or certainly nowhere near as frequently as normal.
If you don’t need the gas savings, you can redeem Reward Points for savings on groceries. Every 100 points you earn is worth 1 Reward. If you bought a $100 Happy gift card, you’d therefore earn 800 points which are worth 8 Rewards. Those can be redeemed for savings of $11 on groceries (7 Rewards for $10 off and 1 Reward for $1 off). Saving 11% in that scenario isn’t anywhere near as good value as saving 20%, but it might still be worth it.
That also depends on where you’d actually spend the Happy gift card. If you’d be redeeming them for drive-thru/carry out restaurant orders, you might do better to buy discounted restaurant gift cards from somewhere like Raise.
Stephen or any folks, does its store card may still be used to purch these happy card or another gc? also, at lowe’s, does system ok to use happy card for another like vgc? Thx
I’m not sure if that’s still possible. The last I heard about using a Happy card at Lowe’s for another GC is that it’s possible, but it requires employee assistance at checkout, so there’s a chance they could say you’re not allowed to use it,
