A couple of days ago, American Express started sending out some targeted emails to business charge and credit cardholders. These offered the chance to earn bonus points or miles when adding employee cards and having them spend a certain amount on the cards.
I didn’t receive any offers, but my wife received an email for her Delta Gold Business credit card. When adding an employee card, she’d earn 2,500 bonus miles when the employee spends $500 in qualifying purchases within three months.
There’s a limit of 10,000 bonus miles on offer, meaning she could request cards for four employees. The cards have to be requested by July 31, 2018 in order to be eligible for the offer, although the minimum spend doesn’t have to be met by that date. The offer means she’d earn 5x bonus SkyMiles on purchases which is an especially good deal on what could otherwise be non-bonused spend.
Doctor of Credit has reported that similar offers were sent out to Business Platinum and Business Gold Rewards cardholders. Let us know in the comments below if you’ve recently received these offers on any different types of business (or personal) credit or charge cards.
I called Amex if they can add that offer on my BRg and Amex Business platinum but nada. They said its targeted
I have the Blue Business Plus card, so not a miles earning card, but I did not receive any offer for additional rewards on it. Employee spend earns the same 2x Membership Rewards that I earn.
