Singapore Airlines Amex Offer: Spend $1,500, get $300 Back (Targeted)

3

A new Amex Offer appeared today for Singapore Airlines, offering a $300 statement credit when spending $1,500 or more on airfare. This is targeted and offers a good way to get back up to 20% on paid flights if you have it on any of your cards…and because Singapore has a fifth freedom flight from JFK-Frankfurt, you can use it to get to Europe as well.

Quick Thoughts

One of the most important things to note about this Amex Offer is that flights have to originate in the US in order to trigger the statement credit. If you can find fares that cost as close to $1,500 as possible (most fares on Singapore from the West Coast to Asia are hanging out at around $900-1200), you’ll be saving 20%…which takes at least some of the sting out of the current high-ish prices.

Also, it’s worth remembering that Singapore flies a fifth freedom flight between NYC and Frankfurt, Germany. Roundtrip pricing is hovering around $600-$800, making it a nice way to cash in on the Amex offer as well.
