Quick Thoughts
For anyone who frequently places orders on Instacart, this offer will be a no-brainer if you’re targeted because it’s an easy $20 or $40 depending on if you can make use of it once or twice in the next couple of months.
Even if you’ve never used Instacart before, this Amex Offer could make it worth trying out. The $75 spend requirement to trigger the statement credit should include taxes, fees and delivery person tip, so you shouldn’t need to spend $75 on groceries (or other products) themselves in order to hit that $75 threshold.
I think Instacart purchases code as groceries, so it’d be worth loading this to a card that has US Supermarkets as a bonused spend category like the Amex Gold and Hilton Surpass cards.
