Newegg has a new gift card deal today that offers a free $10 Visa eGift card when buying a $100 Home Depot gift card. Although there’s a limit of two per customer, it might be possible to buy more before the deal ends.

  • $10 card expires 6 months after purchase.

Quick Thoughts

Home Depot gift cards don’t often go on sale, although we have seen an uptick in offers recently. This 10% bonus Visa eGift card is a pretty decent deal and is worth it if you plan on shopping at Home Depot; it’s also worth considering for resale if you have access to good rates for Home Depot.

It’s important to note that the $10 Visa eGift cards that you receive expire after 6 months. The low value of the cards makes it slightly less convenient to use, but it shouldn’t be too hard to drain them. The easiest method will probably be to buy a $10 Amazon gift card, but some sites allow you to split tender when making payments, so that’s another option.

You’re limited to two purchases per customer, but that’s only enforced every 48 hours. In two days, you’ll be able to buy more provided supplies last until the deal is due to expire on July 8.

Discover is offering 5% on PayPal purchases this quarter, so that’s a good option given that Newegg accepts PayPal as a payment method. Alternatively, you could earn 6% on the Bank of America Cash Rewards card if you were targeted for the double cashback offer and have Online Shopping selected as your 3% category.
