I am a moron.
I heard the Linda story in a previous podcast and later this I-Prefer update here.
Somehow, I missed the part about transferring directly from Citi to I Prefer.
I am traveling to the Cherry Blossom in Japan and when I went to order hotels in Tokyo, Hyatt points booking was not available in a good location. Therefore Prefered Hotel was a real value to me. However, I transferred Citi to Choice to Prefed. I just noticed that instead of paying 50k for two night in tokyo, I could spend half… Taking the CPP from 1.62 to 3.24.
At least, my booking does show in Prefered site two days after I made the booking.

What happens now with Hyatt and mgm? I used to move back and forth in order to keep Hyatt stays. Now with Marriott, can you do the same thing?

Also are there still links you can guide me to for the $250k biz platinum card? If so, would you let me know where to find this please? Thanks so much! Love you guys.

Lee

Regarding Marriott, it might be worth noting that Marriott has tier status soft landings. For some, this might lessen end-of-year stress.

I’ve used Hilton Gift Cards a few times now after collecting a number of them from Surpass credits. I use them at checkout and have had no issues, just charge things to my room during the stay. I have ran into front desk people who didn’t initially know how to use them, but they are just run as a normal card for the face value. I haven’t tried to use one for less than the face value however.
