Spa Finder is offering 30% off on gift cards with coupon code SPAFORALL, but with a triple dip of sorts you should be able to save more than 44% total – possibly even more than 50%. Here’s how.
Step 1: Buy a discounted Happy Gift Card
This week, Staples has 10% off on Happy Gift Cards (See: Get Happy: 10% off “Happy” cards next week at Staples). Since the Spa Finder cards are on sale for 30% off with a minimum purchase of a $100 gift card, you’re going to need a Happy gift card with $70 on it. At 10% off, that will cost you $63.
Alternatively, you could buy that $70 Happy card at Kroger and save $10 off of a grocery purchase with a digital coupon plus earn 4x fuel points (See: Kroger: $10 off grocery w/ $50+ Happy gift cards). I had trouble with the offer triggering the first time, but the second time (with a different Kroger account) it triggered just fine (and I was able to get an adjustment on the first one that hadn’t triggered automatically).
We’ve seen other deals for $10 off of $50 in Happy Cards recently from Office Max and others, but let’s assume you spend $63 at Staples. Surely you’re using a card that earns 5x at Staples, so that’s also 315 Ultimate Rewards points if you’re paying with a Chase Ink Cash Card.
Update: Check your Chase Offers. Stephen Pepper just found one good for 10% back at Staples up to a max of $6 back. That would stack this deal a little harder yet, though at a sacrifice of the Ultimate Rewards points.
Step 2: Go through a portal
At the time of writing, TopCashBack is offering 10.5% cash back at Spa Finder. Note that the terms at TopCashBack indicate that using a promo code that isn’t found on TopCashBack will invalidate your cash back. I doubt that’ll happen here, but it’s possible.
Assuming the cash back pays out, this will be $7.35.
Step 3: Buy a $100 Spa Finder Gift Card for $70
This part is easy. Click through to Spa Finder. Buy a $100 gift card an apply code SPAFORALL at checkout to pay $70. Use your Happy Lady Gift Card. H/T to Doctor of Credit for posting this part of the deal.
Final Cost
You’ll have paid $63 for the Happy Lady gift card and earned $7.35 in cash back for a net cost of $55.65 plus 315 Ultimate Rewards points. Alternatively, if you took 10% back at Staples capped at six bucks, you could be down to a net cost of $49.65. That’s more than 50% off. While I assume that spas booked through Spa Finder are usually overpriced, about half off should bring the prices into the range of reasonable — certainly reasonable to give as a gift.

FYI, was able to buy two of these today with the $20 off $150 happy card from Office Depot/Max.
FYI: Cash back at TopCashBack is tracking. It’s too early to know if it will actually pay out, but I expect it will.
I was just looking into this deal and I see some problems. Staples only has the card in $50 and $100. And it says the card will be mailed to you. By the time that card gets here the other deals will probably be expired.
The 10% off Staples deal is in-store only (see the link immediately under “Step 1”).
