Citi AT&T Access More Card Seems to Be Completely Unavailable for Product

It’s dead, Jim. Cue up the funeral march. Write your eulogies. It seems that it is finally impossible to get your hands on the AT&T Access More card, which is beloved in some circles for its 3x ThankYou points earnings for most online retail and travel purchases. If you have it, hold it dearly, because Middle Age Miles tested it from several angles covered in this post and struck out every which way.

Are Spirit Miles Worth More Than Magazine Subscriptions? I’ll Help You Decide!

I don’t live near an airport served by Spirit Airlines, but if I did, I’d read this post from Andy at Lazy Traveler’s Handbook, because Free Spirit is a sweet spot that many of us are missing. Guayaquil for 7500 miles each way? Lima for 12.5K? Cali or Medellin for 5K? What?!? Seriously, if you live in or near Fort Lauderdale Airport, I don’t see how you could ignore Spirit — and even if you live in one of their other hubs, or you can position to FLL for 7.5K miles (hint: any of us can), Andy just may convince you why you should be more carefully considering Spirit.

Best Hotel Rewards Program [InfoGraphic 2019]

Marriott certainly wowed me with this upgrade to a private luxury villa at the Domes of Elounda, but is it the best loyalty program?

Travel is Free updates and refreshes a great infographic that I think really demonstrates how many angles there are from which to measure the quality of a hotel loyalty program. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, so if you’re a hotel free agent who is looking for a place to hang your hat, check out this awesome visual breakdown.

How I did on that British Airways / Match.com Deal from 2017

a screenshot of a website

Do you remember this deal? Greg broke the story back in March of 2017 that the British Airways shopping portal was offering 150 Avios per dollar at Match.com, which made for the opportunity to buy a ton of Avios really cheaply. Of course, British Airways and Match eventually joined forces to refund everyone instead of honoring the deal. However, that was not before Grant at Travel with Grant was able to parlay it into the ultimate redemption thanks to some key availability. Congrats to Grant and his new bride and we’re glad if #TeamFM had a hand in alerting you to the deal :-).

Use your Marriott Bonvoy points for lunch – or a cooking class – at ‘Core by Clare Smyth’

Not the restaurant in question here, but this shot from my dinner at Alinea a couple of years ago only made me more interested in creative cuisine.

Before the merger, SPG moments had a reputation for having some great “moments” events where you could redeem (often a reasonable number of) points for experiences you couldn’t otherwise buy. I’ve honestly not paid much attention to Marriott Moments packages, but this post from Head for Points has me thinking I should. Canapes, cocktails, and a 3-course lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant for 2 people for the cost of a single Category 5 Marriott night (maybe less) is a deal I’d love to try — so I’ll keep my eye out for other similar opportunities.

That’s it for this week around the web. Next up: this week’s last chance deals.

Craig at Middle Age Miles

Many thanks for the link, Nick. I just wish we had better news to report, like Grant did! Hope your weekend is great. ~Craig

Grant

Hi Nick, thanks for linking to my British Airways / Match.com post and for the warm wishes. It is definitely my favorite miles & points deal to date, even if I never got any miles out of it. Have a great weekend 🙂
