Another week, another profitable gift card deal at Office Depot and OfficeMax. Recently, they were offering $15 off when spending $300 or more on Visa gift cards; this week it’s an online deal offering $10 off $100 Visa gift cards.
The Deal
- Buy $100 or more of Visa gift cards at Office Depot Online and get $10 off instantly.
Key Terms
- Expires March 30, 2023.
- Limit 3 per customer.
Quick Thoughts
These Visa gift cards have a $5.95 purchase fee and there’s free trackable shipping with the order, making each card a $4.05 profit-maker
Unfortunately, this online deal is processed by GiftCardMall and so won’t code as 5x on the Chase Ink Cash or Chase Ink Plus. It’s better to use a cashback card or a 2x everywhere card like the Capital One Venture X.

Past Office Depot/Office Max $10/$100 Deals
- 1/22/23-1/28/23
- 12/23/22-12/29/22
- 11/18/22-11/24/22
- 10/28/22-11/3/22
anyone know if any portals work with this offer? Its tricky bc I know its processed by giftcardmall (which has links to Cap1 & Rakuten) but since the website is OfficeMax (links to many) but suspect most won’t give credit for a Giftcardmall purchase
I’ve not heard of portals tracking.
Per DOC, $15 off $300 in-store is active this week as well.
Do you know if these GCs can be used through PayPal to pay the mortgage?
I would use this deal to buy Cheesecake Factory gift crds where u get a $15 bonus card for every $50 gift card purchased. Nice stack on top of the chase 10% offer and 5x on the ink cash.
How do you cash out Visa gift cards if you live in an area where Walmart and others won’t process money orders for these instruments?
my area doesn’t like mastercards, only visas apparently
The link says 10/28 to 11/3.
Thanks – I’ve updated that with the correct link.
Will it trigger chase offers?
Unlikely because payment is processed by Blackhawk Network rather than Office Depot.
Looking to potentially double dip — Do you know if ‘per customer’ means per address? or by other identifier (name, email etc)?

I am very familiar with how to liquidate these into MO when I get the cards issued by Metabank, but this is a Sunrise card. Where do I go to find out how to know what the PIN is? I know with those issued by Metabank, it is the last four of the front of the card. Is it the same with these that I bought at Office Depot?
I’m not sure about Sunrise cards. The packaging inside should include information about how to use a PIN.
Does it work with the Dinning Everywhere visa card?
It should do.
Yes it works. Thanks. The Everywhere visa cards are actually more popular than the regular one. It was just Tuesday, and I almost got the last one in the store.
Will dosh work on these in store?
I’ve never been targeted for the Office Depot offer on my Dosh account, so I’m not sure. Is it for in-store purchases or is it online-only like the Staples offer?
If it’s valid for in-store purchases it might work, but they sometimes claw back cashback when you’ve bought gift cards.
My account says online only, but it coded in the store I went to last week. Still pending tho. I guess YMMV per store.
FYI, the similar deal online has not expired yet (valid to 8/26)
It was scheduled to end on August 26, but it’s sold out now.
FYI. I bought one earlier today.
Thanks, I missed seeing that it was sold out
I think it only recently happened. It was still available yesterday, but I double checked before publishing and saw that it had ended. It lasted much longer than I thought it would though!
Then how did I buy one this morning at 8 am Eastern?
Because it went out of stock at some point between 8am and when I published this post at 2:15pm.
