Frequent Miler's latest team challenge, Million Mile Madness, is almost done! The last two weeks Greg, Nick, and Stephen competed to earn 1 Million SAS miles by flying 15 airlines. But who completed the challenge with the most Speed, Affordability, and Style?
One of the best features of Chase Ultimate Rewards is the ability to transfer points to airlines and hotel programs. That list has expanded to 10 airlines as Emirates Skywards has been added as a new transfer partner.
I’m not entirely sure when Emirates was added as an Ultimate Rewards transfer partner, but it’s likely to have been either today or in the last couple of days. You can now transfer points on a 1:1 basis to Skywards.
Skywards isn’t the most compelling of loyalty programs – especially when taking into account the high surcharges you’re likely to encounter – so there’s limited usefulness here. Transfers might be worth considering in the future if Chase offers a transfer bonus, but we’ll have to wait and see if and when that happens. Still, it’s always better to have more transfer partner options than fewer, so this is a welcome addition.
Emirates is also a transfer partner of American Express Membership Rewards and Capital One. They transfer on a 1:1 basis with the former and a 2:1 basis with the latter, so those are additional options if you need to top up a Skywards account.
You can find a full list of all the Chase Ultimate Rewards partners here.
Prefer Korean Air. But maybe Nick can pull another great gem out of it. In Nick we trust.
