Update 5/13/22: The welcome offer on the United Club Infinite card dropped from 120,000 bonus miles recently, but US Credit Card Guide has found a link that still works for that higher offer and so we’ve added that link on our Best Offers page.

The link is now dead.

There’s also a 90,000 bonus miles offer on the United Quest card whereas the offer when we published this original post was for 80,000 bonus miles. Note that in order to see the 90,000 offer on the United Quest card you’ll need to click the Quest link in the post rather the Club Infinite link as the landing page for the Club Infinite card has a lower offer for the Quest card.

There are improved welcome offers available on the United Airlines Explorer, United Quest and United Club Infinite Card. The Club Infinite Card is the biggest news with a whopping 120,000 mile bonus on $6,000 in spend.  If you value the United Club access that comes with it, the Club Infinite could be a smoking deal.

Quick Thoughts

These offers are an improvement over the previous publicly-available offers, albeit with increased spend requirements.  The United Infinite card is by far the biggest jump, with an additional 40,000 miles added to the previous bonus of 80,000 miles.  Yes, the required spend goes up $1,000 to $6k over 3 months, but that’s a pretty minimal additional spend for a 50% increase in bonus miles.  If you value the United Club membership, this is a very good bonus for this card

The other two are a little more measured. The Explorer gets an additional 10,000 miles on $3k spend for a total of 60,000 miles.  There’s also an the option to spend another $3k to get to 70,000 total, effectively earning 4.3 miles/dollar on the last $3,000 in spend…OK, but not earth-shattering.

The Quest card gets an additional 10,000 miles while the spend increases by $1,000 to $5k in 3 months.  Again, 10,000 miles for an additional $1,000 in spend seems like a worthwhile trade, but not quite the unequivocal winner that the Infinite Card is.  The Quest was at 100,000 miles for quite some time after launching, but that ended last September and I think it’s doubtful that we’ll see it again soon.  This 80k offer matches the best we’ve seen since then.

Each card falls under Chase’s 5/24 rule, so check out Greg’s post on ways to check your status if you’re uncertain of where you stand.

Hi, thanks for giving us a HT! I noticed you put our link on your website. As of today, the offer is now lowered to the regular 100k offer, so please update the post, and it’s better to remove our link because it is actually not a special link. Thanks!

patrick

It’s not an INCREASED offer. It’s just a link that hasn’t been removed yet.

Patrick

Ah… gotcha. Thanks.
BTW… not 2 days ago I was approved on a 100,000 link. Think there is any chance I could get them to go with the larger one?
