Rove Miles is on a tear.
In the last three months, the rewards program has added transfer partnerships with Japan Airlines Mileage Bank, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), and Virgin Atlantic. Now that a new month is upon us, Rove has announced yet another new airline transfer partner: Air Canada Aeroplan.
Transfers to Aeroplan will be at a 1:1 ratio, but for the first month (through June 6, 2026), Rove is offering a 25% bonus.

The Deal
- Rove Miles has added a new transfer partner: Air Canada Aeroplan.
- Transfers ordinarily occur at a 1:1 ratio, but through June 6, 2026, Rove is offering a 25% transfer bonus, whereby 1,000 Rove Miles will transfer to 1,250 Aeroplan points.

Unique partners like Lufthansa, SAS, and JAL make Rove’s partner portfolio very appealing, but adding Aeroplan dramatically increases its utility.
Aeroplan allows you to use points to fly on United, Lufthansa, ANA, Etihad, Emirates, and many others with no carrier-imposed surcharges. Aeroplan points are also transferable from Amex Membership Rewards, Bilt, Capital One, Chase, and Marriott Bonvoy, so it’s fairly easy to amass enough for an award or two (or three).
Additionally, Aeroplan allows you to add a stopover on a one-way award for 5,000 points, which can create some incredible opportunities due to the program’s flexible routing rules. Aeroplan also makes it easy to share points among family members, and for international awards, it only charges $25 CAD or 2,500 points per direction of travel for a lap infant, making it far cheaper than most competing programs.
All in all, this is another great addition for Rove Miles.
Best Uses for Aeroplan Points
- Add Stopovers for 5,000 miles: There's great value in the Aeroplan due to the ability to add a stopover on a one-way award for 5,000 additional miles, making it possible to combine two destinations on one award.
- Lap Infants: Lap infants are just $25 CAD or 2,500 miles per direction (far cheaper than what most programs charge).
- Travel within US and Canada: Aeroplan awards start between 6K to 22.5K miles each way in economy class or as low as 15K miles each way in business class within US and Canada
- Business Class to Asia and the South Pacific: Flights to Asia and South Pacific range from 55K-105K one-way in business class (plus 5K miles for a stopover), which can be a particularly good value for awards combining Asia and the South Pacific in one itinerary.
- Business Class to Africa (with a stopover in Europe): Flights to Africa can vary between from 60K to 100K in business class based on distance (add 5K miles for a stopover within Africa or Europe).
- Explore remote Canada for far less (Northwest territories for cheap!). In some cases, Air Canada only charges 12.5K miles one-way to remote stretches of Canada. See more here.

- "Flex" fares are free to change in all cabins
- "Flex" economy fares cost $75-$125 to cancel
- "Flex" fares are free to cancel in Premium Economy or above
- "Latitude" economy fares have no change or cancellation fees

- Transfer from: Amex, Bilt, Capital One, Chase, Marriott, Rove

Hey Tim, re: “Unique partners like Lufthansa, SAS, and JAL” – do you think any other transferable points currency would want to buy Rove just add more transfer partners?
I only have a few thousand Rove Miles but I have much larger balances and other transferable points systems. What do you think?
While Rove offers huge points per dollar on hotel bookings, their prices tend to higher than other platforms. Do your math.
