Quick Thoughts

All three of these offers are excellent in that they offer hundreds of dollars worth of Hilton points and a nice statement credit for relatively low spend. This is as good as I recall seeing it get on the business version of the card, which wouldn’t add to 5/24 and still includes a free weekend night certificate with $15K in calendar-year spend (though note that the Surpass is the card with the more compelling bonus category for many people).

Any way you slice it, these are excellent offers. Given that you can often buy Hilton points for half a cent each, you could look at a $100 statement credit as being worth an additional 20K Hilton points or a $150 statement credit being worth 30K Hilton points — but this offer lets you choose whether to go ahead and buy those points with your statement credit money or to instead have cash in your pocket for other expenses. The added flexibility here makes these offers particularly interesting.

Unfortunately, we’ve seen no similar offer for the Aspire card yet. Keep in mind that these offers are available via referral, so if you’re in a 2-player household these present the opportunity to get a really valuable referral bonus as a cherry on top. Some people with cards that earn Membership Rewards are finding referral offers as high as 30K or 35K points for referring a new cardholder. Keep in mind that you can generate a referral link with a card that offers a great bonus like that and have the person you refer then choose a Hilton card through your link and they would still get the advertised Hilton bonus while you get Membership Rewards points for referring them. That makes this an even better deal for those who can take advantage.

Just tried to check if I’m eligible for new 150k+150 offer for Hilton Business card, got approved right away, without getting that screen which says if I’m gonna get those points or not.
Is it something new or do I miss something ?
And how do I check now, just call them and ask ?

Greg The Frequent Miler

That’s how it usually works. If you apply and ARE eligible, there isn’t any popup. You should get the points (assuming you meet the spend requirements)

Thank you Greg !
I was surprised, cause I had Hilton Business recently, but it was under my SSN, now I used my other company EIN, while logged in to my main Amex account.
Also used the same Hilton rewards number.

Lifetime Rule question: 1) Does the lifetime rule apply to AmEx “Business” cards? Or is that just the “Personal” cards? 2) If you had the card before, but under a different business name (e.g. Frequent Miler LLC), then apply for it again under another business name (e.g. Frequent Miler Is The Best LLC), is it possible to get the bonus again? Being BOTH of those businesses are owned by the SAME person. For people who are under the 7 year rule.

Josh

How long will this offer will be available for?

Christian

Are these credit or charge cards? I seem to recall that an individual can only have 4 credit cards with American Express.
