American Express Business Platinum 150K referral offer is back

Check those referral links…the 150,000 points referral offer for the American Express Business Platinum card is back again. This targeted offer gives 150,000 Membership Rewards points on $15,000 spend and is only available via referral..public links (and many blog’s affiliate links) have an inferior offer of 120,000 points after the same $15K in spend. Since this is the best offer out there it’s the one that you’ll find on our Best Offers page.

This referral offer is also the best for a publicly available business card, regardless of issuer. The best offers page shows the Capital One Venture X Business card as having a first year value that’s almost double that of the Business Platinum, but that card can only be applied for through a C1 relationship manager AND it requires a cool $50,000 in spend to max it out.

Quick Thoughts

This referral offer is targeted in that only some Business Platinum card holders have the ability to generate a link for it — but the offer itself is publicly available to anyone applying through a qualifying referral link (like the one on our Platinum card page). Those Platinum cardholders who have the ability to generate a 150K link will see it advertised in the “refer a friend” section of their login — it shows the bonus that you’ll get as a Platinum cardholder and also tells you that your friend will get 150,000 points (whereas most cards will only have a referral offer for 120K points). This is similar to a situation we’ve seen throughout the last year where only a relatively small number of personal Platinum cardholders had the ability to refer to the very best 150K offer.

Keep in mind that this referral bonus is not available to those who have or have had the Business Platinum card before.
