Greg – Thanks for the tip on the Capital One Shopping/Paze/Stubhub CSR triple stack. My first half $150 Stubhub credit was going to go to waste but I stacked the 3 to buy concert tickets that I am now reselling. I am totally fine taking a loss/recouping any value from the Stubhub credit as it was worth it for the C1 Shopping $100. Keep sharing these great tips!
As soon as I saw this, I thought it was the CSR team. They clearly (IMO) screwed up the roll-out and have been trying to fix it since then. Increased SUB, additional credits, and now Hyatt….
Absolutely – and what perfect timing as CSR cardholders who applied just after the refresh are coming up on renewal….
This reminds me of every airline’s strategy with Basic Economy – make it crappy enough that you’ll pay up for the features you used to get at a lower price.
Remember the 10% UR transfer bonus for Aeroplan card holders? I wonder if the upcoming Hyatt card may pull something like that.
It’s not that Hyatt has been Bonvoyed, it’s that Hyatt is becoming Bonvoy.
In other news, there’s a story on Loyalty Lobby that the lounges at certain Hilton properties are no longer accessible by Diamond members but only Diamond Reserve members. There’s a level of anxiety about whether this will become the new standard at all Hilton properties. And, it leaves Lifetime Diamond members wondering. Does this feed anxieties about what future Hyatt devaluations might look like?
